11 - 27/03/2025 - Massive Updates!
Hey everyone! neko asked me to finish their feature, and I'm happy to announce we now have improved top results, better search relevance, and enhanced result caching live on the site!
I've streamlined the frontend and added the /tools directory with web development and search tool information. I'm also working on image and video indexing, though I may need neko's help to complete it (idk what im doing man :P).
Other updates include five new HTML lessons, the updated blocked tags list, and a new "Best Match" feature that displays the most relevant result for your query at the top of search results.

10/03/2025 - Finally Online.
It's been a while, huh? I've dealt with a lot recently, and as of the past few days, a natural disaster that took out my power for over four days. Ah well, I'm back now, and I'm ready to work on QuerySquish again. I'll be working on the frontend mostly, as well as parts of the backend to make the site better for you all.
neko has also informed me they are working on a new feature for the search engine, but they haven't told me what it is yet. I'm excited to see what they come up with!

29/01/2025 - Back from the Dead.
As of the time of writing this, the QuerySquish website is down. After a while of being down (mainly due to QuerySquish sharing a VPS with a deprecated website that was deleted to save on costs), us at Squish Inc. have decided to revive the website. neko will also be back soon to make more changes to the backend, as well as improvements to the result caching and relevance ranking systems.
That's pretty much all for now. fanfire might eventually decide to do more frontend work, but for now, most things will stay the same.

09/01/2025 - Ranking and Suggestions.
Hi guys, we have another update for you! 11neko has been hard at work creating a search ranking system AND a suggestions system for QuerySquish. The ranking system will rank the results based on relevance, and the suggestions system will suggest similar searches to the one you entered. We love what she is bringing to the table already, just a few days after being hired.
Additionally, we have implemented rate limiting to the search feature, something we probably should have done a while ago, to be honest. No one has spammed the service yet, but it's always good to be prepared.
08/01/2025 - New HTML Lessons.

Oops, we forgot to make updates to this site... sorry! We have been working on a lot of things, including a new search engine, a new web crawler, and a new ranking system. We are also working on a new feature that will allow you to search for images and videos. Stay tuned!
Squish Inc. has also hired two new members to maintain this site... fanfire and neko! They will be working on the frontend and backend respectively. We are excited to see what they will bring to the table.
12/12/2024 - HTML Lessons.
Hi again! It's only been two days since our last update, but we are working on HTML lessons for all to enjoy! Check them out here.
Additionally, we massively improved our web crawler, so it indexes higher quality results from a great range of websites. We are also working on a ranking system for the search engine, to improve the accuracy of the results you are given, as our testing has found somtimes things can get a little messy.
That's all for now! Once the HTML lessons are finished, we will work on CSS lessons, then JS, then PHP. Stay tuned!
10/12/2024 - Search Engine Improvements.
Hey there! It's been a full week since QuerySquish launched, and we've seen a lot of activity. Additionally, we now have over 1200 sites crawled!
We will now be making weekly updates to the search engine, starting with this one today. We have redesigned our search engine to fetch more precise results faster than the previous one was capable of. Enjoy!

Welcome to QuerySquish, the brand-new search engine from Squish Inc! It's pretty bare bones at the moment, but we are working on adding a tonne of features to improve your experience.
